Stephens, Inc. is a private, full-service investment bank that specializes in providing this objective financial advice. Keith talks about his life motto, a motto that doubles as advice for any college student pursuing an internship or job opportunity — “My life motto is to Go for Greatness, intelligently and confidently. I’ve always been a bit conservative, and this quote keeps my mind fresh. ‘Going for Greatness’ serves as a constant reminder to push myself out of my comfort zone and create meaningful learning experiences. I’ve found that people learn the best through failure and now seek out situations where I’m able to fail — consequently, learning more, more quickly.”
What’s your goal in life?
“My goal is to pursue happiness, passionately. It’s a great goal because it means doing things you like. I’ve found that when you do things you like, you do them better and enjoy doing them. Right now my goal is to learn as much as I can, as quickly as I can, and have a good time doing it.”
What’s your X-factor?
“I’m curious. I meet different people every day and I try the best I can to learn something from them. Whether I learn something business related, life-related or about a basketball game the previous night — learning intrigues me. My curiosity has led me to meet some incredible individuals and make even better friends.”
