Which browser should I use?
Please use Chrome or Safari as your web browser.
How can I test in advance that my computer is working properly?
Once you have a meeting pre-scheduled, click on your "Meetings" tab in your InternX profile. Select a meeting, and then click the "Test Video/Audio" green button to run the test.
How do I set up my microphone and video access?
Typically your default microphone, speakers and camera will be set up correctly. However, if they are not working, you should check which defaults are being used in your audio setup before running the application. For security reasons, the browser will ask you if you want to share your microphone and camera once you begin your meeting. You need to “Allow” these to participate in a meeting. Chrome will remember this for future visits, while Safari will prompt you every time.
I am not able to get microphone and video access when I do the test call. What should I do?
Click on the words "Not Secure" next to your website URL. (If there is an image of a lock there instead, go to the next FAQ.)
Make sure both Camera & Microphone say "Allow."
A pop-up will then appear asking you to reload the page. Please do so, and then click the "Test Video/Audio" button again.
I gave my computer video & camera access, but it still does not work. What should I do?
Click on the image of the lock next to your url.
Click "site settings" at the bottom of the screen, which will lead you to this page.
Change your camera & microphone setting to "Allow." If you set it to "Ask," it will not work. Refresh your page, and then click the "Test Video/Audio" button again.
How do I mute my microphone?
Click the microphone icon at the bottom of the screen. You will be muted when the button turns red, with a line through the microphone icon (see image below).
How do I turn off my video?
Click the video icon at the bottom of the screen. Your video will turn off when the button turns red with a line through the video icon, and you can no longer see your picture on the screen.
Can I use headphones?
Yes, you can use headphones. Please use whatever will provide the clearest audio experience for your meeting.
How do I start my video meetings?
After you log into your profile and click on the "Meetings" tab, you will see the video calls that you have scheduled for the day. When it is time for the meeting, please refresh the page and select "Start a Meeting." You will have to allow camera and microphone access the first time you start a meeting. Simply click "allow" from the popup or enable access through your computer settings.
